BELDI CHICKEN
The "Beldi" chicken constitute a particular attention among the Moroccan population, through the advantages it presents. In fact, it is raired in the open air and not in cages, making the animal happy and unstressed.
The "Beldi" chicken benefits from a healthy and balanced diet and organic food, respecting the environment. It is composed of insects, vegetables, legumes and cereals (barley, wheat, corn…), dry bread and crop residues present in their immediate without chemical substances and without GMOs.
The weight of adult "Beldi" chicken can reach 1300-1650 grams at the age of 16-18 weeks. The weight of the male is greater than those of females. These latter begin to produce eggs at the age of 16 to 20 weeks, laying about 160-200 eggs per year, weighting 40-55 g.
The "Beldi" chickens can live 3-5 years and can resist to diseases and different environmental conditions. Poultry shelters is only a simple shed for the night and to protect against the bad weather and the predators.
